Photographed in my light-filled studio in the heart of Great Dunmow, Essex, your Cake Smash Photoshoot is relaxed, playful and beautifully styled — capturing everything from those gorgeous first portraits to cake-covered giggles, cheeky expressions and a splash in the tub to finish.
The perfect time for your cake smash session is around your baby’s first birthday, although many families choose to book a little earlier if they’d like their photographs ready in time for the big day.

In your package, 10 high-resolution images are included. But if you find yourself wanting more (because, let's be honest, it’s hard not to), don’t worry! When checking out the gallery, you have the chance to upgrade and create those family heirlooms.

I will hand edit your images to carefully create your final gallery. Around 2-3 weeks from the session date. We will arrange a date for your personal design and viewing appointment.

The day is finally here! I’ll take care of everything, making sure you and your family feel comfortable while I capture those beautiful little moments.

I'm so excited to meet you! Secure your date by paying a £99 deposit. You will receive a link to your booking portal where you can sign your contract, and view your client guide, and fill in your questionaire.

when is the best time to book?
I recommend booking your Cake Smash Photoshoot in Essex around 2–3 months before your baby’s first birthday to make sure you get the date you’d like.
If you want to use the photographs for birthday invitations, decorations or to share on their big day, we can arrange your session a few weeks before they turn one.
Already celebrated their first birthday? Don’t worry, it’s definitely not too late!
A cake smash is all about celebrating this wonderful milestone, whether they’re just about to turn one or already one and thriving.
HOW LONG WILL THE SESSION TAKE?
Your Cake Smash Photoshoot will usually last around 45-60 minutes, giving your little one plenty of time to settle in, explore and have fun without feeling rushed.
We’ll move through each part of the session at their pace, from beautiful birthday portraits to the cake smash itself, finishing with plenty of splashing and giggles in the tub.
CAN YOU ALSO INCLUDE MY OTHER CHILDREN IN THE PHOTOSHOOT
Absolutely! Your cake smash photoshoot is a family affair, and siblings, mums, and dads are welcome to join in.
We’ll capture beautiful sibling and family photographs before the cake smashing begins, making sure everyone gets to be part of this special milestone.
It’s the perfect opportunity to update your family photographs while celebrating just how much your little family has grown.
After all, turning ONE is a family celebration!

what do i need to bring to the cake smash photoshoot?
Simply bring what you would for a normal outing with your little one.
There’s no need to plan, shop or prepare anything special for your Cake Smash Photoshoot. I provide everything you need, including your little one’s outfit, cake and the complete cake smash setup, so you can simply turn up and enjoy the experience.
I’ll take care of the details — you just bring the birthday star!
How long does it take for my photos to be ready?
Your beautifully edited images will usually be ready within 2–3 weeks of your cake smash photoshoot. Once they’re ready, I’ll contact you to arrange a time to return to the studio for your in-person viewing appointment.
I truly believe your photographs deserve to be experienced properly, which is why all collections are selected and purchased during your viewing. You’ll see your baby’s images presented at their very best, and I’ll be there to personally guide you through choosing the photographs and collection you love most.
Images are not available for selection through an online gallery.
If you would prefer not to return to the studio for a viewing appointment, you can choose to upgrade to the full collection of images on the day of your photoshoot. Your finished photographs will then be delivered to you via a private online gallery, so there’s no need to return to the studio.
As a little extra, families who choose their collection or upgrade to the full image collection in advance or at their session will receive priority editing, with their gallery ready within 48 hours.
Please note that the full-image upgrade must be selected and paid for at the time of your session to qualify for online delivery and priority editing.
